Yes, a family member who loves them should raise them. You are to be commended for trying.

I think what you're doing is right, and who knows, if you don't they may grow up to do the same things, and if someone else reports the situation they may end up going to another family. My cousin Ray was adopted by my aunt and uncle, but he is the son of my uncle ray who is a complete crack head and his wife was on crack when she was pregnant. Ray now has to live a hard life because of their stupidity; he was born without a nose, had a trache (feeding tube) until he was about 8, and now has learning and social disabilities. He also has a very low self confidence because of his appearance. So yes, getting them out of that situation is probably best.

See you didnt get into detail like that, and you working on trying to get the kids is a great thing. But you still have to get rid of the dope heads cause what the kids see them doing they will do the same thing when they get older.

children should not be brought up in this enviorment. but speak to your sis first to explain what you are planning to do. because if you go behind her back it could cause you more trouble than you can take on. maybe your sis will agree on this idea until she cleans up..you are doing the right thing..just go the right way about it..cause at the moment you are seeing the children..guiding them and being there for them. also you can see what is going on in there life every day..if she stops this and tells you not to come and see them again. who knows how the children will be you wont know any thing about there lifes and they will live this life because its the only life they know. do it but just be careful. and good luck.

YES!!! you are doing the right thing. My niece took custody of her sister-in-laws 2 children (for the same reason). It was a long hard road. Her sister-in-law was in and out of jail for drugs. But it is truly worth it. The children know they are loved and feel very secure. good luck

I've gone through that myself! The courts are ridiculous these days. It's hard to get custody and prove the parents as unfit. It depends on if parents want their kids or not. If they leave them with you long enough, you can get them for abandonment.

I agree with Centurion. The kids deserve to be protected from that sort of environment. They need stability and good role models. What's up with your avatar? LustfulStoner????
