OK, so my boyfriend and I have been together for about 6 months and back in April he said something along the lines of "youre going to need a ring soon, any suggestions?" and so we talked a little then about it and i suggested maybe just going to browse and nothing more was said. Then about 3 weeks ago he brought it up again and goes "so were going to have to go browsing sometime soon" and my response was "you let me know when and ill be there"....any thoughts on how long i'm going to have to wait before i get a ring on my finger? haha im anxious and excited but i dont want to be one of those annoying girls who asks about it all the time!!

It's different for every couple. You may want to give him a solid prompt though and see how he reacts.
"I'm ready to go shopping for that ring Next Saturday" is a good way to see what he's thinking. If he puts it off ask him when he wants to go because you'd like to make sure you aren't busy. If he doesn't give you a solid day then I'd say you have your answer and he's still mulling the whole issue over.

Right now, I am like the same thing except that we went looking once. I brought it up again and he says 'I'm working on it and u gonna need to remind me". If i bring it up constantly, I am going to feel like I am pressuring him, so I am going to let him do this at his own pace with only a little reminder from me here and there. For you, since he keeps bringing it up at least u kow that he is serious and i would say give it another six months or so and u should have what u want.

You've only been together 6 months and you're going to be looking at rings? Wow....at 6 months you're still in the blissful stage of the relationship.....think long and hard before you decide to make a lifelong commitment like that....it's not something to take lightly.

Until he's ready to propose. It wouldn't hurt to drop hints, nor to sincerely promise to say yes, if he proposes a certain month. If he really cares about you, maybe he'll propose on your bd, or the week after it. I think he wants to suprise you, and see you with a big smile on your face. perhaps even a few tears and a glow, too.

Who knows... My guy did the same thing last fall...still nothing. Just be patient and try not to think about it is the best thing for you.

Besides, don't you want to be surprised when it does happen?
