A orthodox jew came into the place I work today and ordered a salade, he watched the person make it and asked how everything comes. I know what is and isnt kosher, and I didnt tell him that bacon bits are often mixed with the food in his salade. I feel horrible now, if he comes in again should I tell him?

He wore a kippah and asked the person making the food if it was kosher. He was jewish, jews never come in there because we arnt kosher. I dont know if there was bacon in his food, but sometimes it falls into the next container. I feel so bad :(

But I dont actually know if there was bacon in there, all the stuff is kept in pans and sometimes when bacon bits are put in the salade station some people drop them into the lettus pans. Sometimes we dont even keep bacon over there. I was on the registar as well.

Yes you should tell him. That's just common decensy and respect.

Yes, you should tell him. Next time you see him, in or out of the store. But i would have to wonder just what an Orthodox Jew is doing going into a Store or resteraunt that is not Jewish, the reason i say that is because it was mandated by Jewish law to not do such, due to too much of a possibility of mistakes and accidents as such occurring. Miht he have been a Noachide? I myself am a Noachide, i can eat bacon if i want to, but i choose to NOT eat it. Also, i have been mistaken for an Orthodox Jew by Orthodox Jews. So, just because the person might look like, what someone might call Jewish, that doesn't mean that they are. I have peyos, the side curls of the hair, i generally wear a kippah, a yarmekla, i forget how that is spelt, that is why i typed kippah first. I don't yet have tzitzis, the tassels which many Jews have hanging out of their pants. But yes, you should tell this person, but don't tell him that he shouldn't be in there, you might ask him if it is actually alright for him to be there, due to the fact that he might very well be a Noachide

lol... Im sorry... I dont meen to laugh. Some Jews are really uptight about that sort of stuff... He should learn that bacon is delicouse. If he comes in next time, it may be rude to tell him bacon is mixed in the salad in the event that he is not jewish, or simply likes bacon, so, feel the situation out.

You should have, but don't beat yourself up for it. He did the right thing that was expected of his faith, and that was to verify that all was kosher, but he did not sin or anything if he happened to eat a bacon bit.
The reason for it being kosher is not because he'd die on the spot when the bacon bit hit his stomach, but it is a physical following of the Law of Moses.

No. It's too late now unless he is about to eat it again.
Since he didn't eat it while being aware of it, I don't think that it is considered a sin by the Jewish law. But, I do also wonder how orthodox he is for going to a non kosher place to eat.
However, since your conscience is bothering you about it, you should ask God for forgiveness (and go to confession if you are Catholic) since you were aware of at least the good possibility of it happening when it happened. Your conscience needs to be put to rest with God's forgiveness.
If you see that he comes in again and is about to eat it again, then warn him in time BEFORE he eats it.
May God bless you.

Yes you should tell him about the bacon bits. But don't mention the cockroach.
True story. I took my wife to a fast food restaurant a few weeks ago. (Captain D's), In my wifes salad was a live cockroach. Not picking on fast food restaurants. Just saying watch your food closely. It can happen anywhere, anytime.

Do bacon bits have any actual bacon in them? Seems to me there's a chance you're worrying about nothing.
But you should have warned him about the possible contact with non-kosher foods (you don't need to mention bacon specifically).

God I don't know. You should have told him if you knew the bacon bits could have felt in there. Messing with peoples food is freaky in any form!
If that man found a bacon bit in his salad God is going to be mad!!!!
Just Joking!

Wow! I am impressed by your sincere concern to do the right thing. You absolutely made an error by not telling him that it is not kosher, but mistakes happen to the best of us.
You should definately make him aware of it next time you see him, and God will give you an abbundance of blessings for your honesty.

Kosher means blessed by a Rabbi.
Yes you should tell, what kind of asshole do you work for that would deliberately interfere with someones faith.
I'm an atheist by the way, but that is really crappy.
