how old is he? maybe he can mow lawns or do something to earn money from neighbors... just get him involved... I think he will be more proud and enjoy camp more if he knows he really worked hard for it and earned it himself(with a little help)

Get an extra job, have a garage sale, sell some things on Ebay. It's a little late so get a jump on it! I always make sure I have extra money ready by April to pay for my daughter's summer activities and camps. You may want to be more prepared next year.
BTW-is this a day camp? If not, that's pretty cheap! And I thought the $394 to send my daughter to a residential camp for a week was a steal.
Good Luck!

See if you can find any legit 'work from home' schemes on the internet. Maybe that will help you?
Make things, i.e knit blankets, do mosaics etc and try to sell them on ebay etc.
Have a garage sale and sell all of the things that you no longer want or need.
Sign up to answer surveys and do quizzes etc online to earn some extra money. It takes a while, but it would all add up in the end.
Whilst you are watching your son, try to find another boy around his age to babysit/watch and get paid for it.

Oh yes you could have a yard sale with your old junk or if you can get money for recyclying bottles in your area... assk grandparents and neighbors if they need jobs done like raking leaves or walking a pet in other words let the child earn it! That will make it worth a lifetime to them!

Yard sales, those are great this time of year. Also if you're a crafty person, you can have a craft sale (lots of fun), if all else fails, your son (depending on his age) can do the all-time favorite lemonade stand.

Some camps have scholarships available or you could see if you could work at the camp for pay for your son's fees.

Check and see if they offer scholarships... Many camps do. Or talk to the camp director to see if he has any ideas... You're probably not the first one!

sale your junk on ebay and craigslist and have a garage sale. Or here is a better idea, make koolaide and freeze it in Styrofoam cups and sale it like slushys to the neighborhood kids, its cheap to make and really good, me and my brothers used to make like 100 bucks a week
