Have you heard or eaten a donut from Winchell's. Are they still around?

I grew up on those donuts in the 1970's California, and would die for a Winchell's BEAR CLAW.

We used to have those in Chicago. The Dunkin Donuts in the State & Division neighborhood used to be one, it changed around 1978.

In Redding CA. they have a Winchells with a drive through. I get donuts there a lot.

WInchell's donuts closed down all around Chicago back inthe late 70's early 80's. I don't even know if they are in Illinois anymore.

Yes we have two or three here in Redding California. Great donuts! We had them in Denver also.

winchell's is closed down.... known for incredibly friendly hosts and their free mini package of milk duds to everyone who walked into the restaurant.... it WAS a great place to go on saturday morning.... coffee was very good !!!!

They are a huge chain in southern california. There are some around but most of them are now converting to Yum Yum.

Yes, but I'm not fond of donuts so I don't know if they're good. And yes, it's still around.

They used to have a place on Kedzie Ave & Archer Ave in Chg.I don't know if they are still in business in that area.
