The marriages as you see today has nothing to do with Bible or Christianity. We have an example incident in Bible where Jesus turned water into wine. From that what we can gather is just a family get together to celebrate the marriage of a member in the family. Families of both the bride and groom are invited and a feast is arrange. That's all. The rest all what we do today are unwanted rituals. The get together is good because later neither the bride nor the groom can deny their relationship and husband and wife.

Nowhere

Marriage is a commitment, in the broadest of terms the bible says marriage can be executed by desire for a woman as a wife and then consummation (sex for the first time together).

Genesis 24
67And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

1 Corinthians Chapter 7 is the cornerstone scriptures pertaining to marriage for Chrisitians.

The only part I know specifically is where it says that people I can't specifically find something on marriage, but the first commandment listed in the entire Old Testament says to "be fruitful and multiply."

No where. A marriage is just an agreement between the two people and god. And no where does that say it has to be a legally binding contract! It's a soul binding contract.

It actually doesn't.
I am a Christian Pastor and have been asked by some to perform the ceremony.
I write one specifically that fits them.
I also tell those that haven't accepted Jesus, NO, go to a JP.

church means congregation. the people; not the building.
the church can be out in the woods where there is no building.
the church can be on top of a rock cliff, where there is no building.
the church can be by a flowing stream, where there is no building.
isn't nature a beautiful place to begin a union?
