It depends on how much weight you have to lose. Quite frankly the more you have, the faster it will drop. The closer you get to your weight goal the slower it will go.

But if it is your first week, and you go on a low carb diet like South Beach or Atkins, you may be able to pull that off the first week. It will be faster than most anything else.

You will have to be sure you drink enough water (2 qts a day min), not cheat, and get enough sleep.

Getting 30-60 min a day of cardio will also speed the process. Some weight training will firm you up and make you smaller, so even if the pounds don't come off as fast as you like, you will still get the smaller body you seek.

Its possible, but not safe, and you'll end up putting all the weight back on.

Best thing to do is go on a proper good diet, no quick fixes.

Eat three meals a day, dont starve yourself, cos then you store more fat, your body thinks theres something wrong with food supply and you wont burn it off.

When you feel like snacking, have a drink of water, sometimes we confuse hunger with thurst.

And eat slowly, really enjoy your food, taste everything about it, and dont watch tv when you're eating, cos then you wont notice how fast you're eating and when you are full.

I lost a stone in weight in 4 months from Paul McKenna's book and CD, and what I've said above is what I got from him.

You can lose 10 pounds in a few days (see site below). It is mostly NOT your fault, that you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world soon surpassing hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).

You need to re-learn how to eat. Learn everything on site below so you can understand how food and exercise affects your body. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not, and you will remain part of the biggest pandemic in all of history. Due to this pandemic, for the first time in 100 years, the children of Americans have a lower life expectancy than their parents.

I lost 35 lbs. in one month on the Stillman Diet. Whenever you are hungry, eat a hard boiled egg.
I ate a whole chicken for lunch, a giant steak for dinner but absolutely nothing else including vegetables.
All protein! Okay, I did sneek a little onion onto it and still kept losing.
Supplement your diet with one-a-day vitamins.
I couldn't believe the scale because every day I weighed myself, I was a pound less.
Drink diet soda or water, anything without sugar. No Juice!

There is no healthy way to lose 10lbs in seven days.

that's an unreasonable amount for one week

your body can tolerate at most--1-2 lbs per week of fat loss
each lb of fat is 3500 calories--which means you would have to intake 500 calories less per day on average over a week

2 lbs is 7000 calorie deficit--so thats an avg of 1000 less per day
that's a LOT of calories--and would be unfitting for your health if you took in only 1000 cal or so per day (minimum healthy requirement is like 1500)

10 lbs in 7 days is way too much and impossible
10 lbs in 1 month is something you can do and can shoot for
