well it would be illegal if you were using head phones, but if you hook it up to your car stereo so it comes out the speakers it is not illegal. i do it all the time. all you have to do is buy one of those things that plugs into the headphone hole so that your mp3 player transmits on a certain radio station. they cost about 20 bucks you can get them at wal mart.

Yes. You are not allowed to wear any headphones/equipment which covers your ears and your hearing is affected. You may get a ticket, and it is dangerous.
You may use the car radio/speaker to listen to mp3 music if your car stereo can play it.

Headphones while driving are not allowed.
However, if you hooked up your mp3 player to your car stereo, that would be perfectly legal.
