Guess what? Today I went over the first part of the baptism questions!!! I was so nervous but then everything just came to me, and the nervousness was gone. I was calm and knew everything I wanted to say. Of course Im still nervous about the next time. But hopefully when I get in there I wont be. Just like this time.

Ok so I know this isnt a question I just wanted to tell all you about it. Im so excited!

I’m so happy for you! I still remember my joy on finding and accepting the Truth, and especially at my baptism when I symbolized my dedication to doing God’s will. By our dedication to God we have willed to ‘walk with God.’ (Gen. 5:22-24; 6:9) Because of the wickedness of the times it is most wise and urgent for us to keep strict watch on how we walk.

Press on to maturity! Through accurate knowledge, strong faith can be maintained. Whether young or old, undoubtedly a baptismal candidate wants to remain faithful to Jehovah. It’s not a matter of dedicating ourselves to a work. That would keep us busy but would not make us spiritual persons. We need to remember that we are dedicated to a Person—Jehovah God. Making a dedication should be viewed as entering into a vital relationship that must always be guarded and maintained. In this respect, we have the example of Jesus Christ. Expressing his heartfelt attitude when presenting himself to Jehovah are the prophetic words: “I have come . . . To do your will, O my God, I have delighted, and your law is within my inward parts.”—Psalm 40:6-8; Hebrews 10:5-10.

I’m always deeply moved when singing the baptism song, “Dedication to Jehovah.” (To God we are dedicated …) I’m sure that many, like me, are encouraged by your coming baptism!

I was a part of the Jev. Witness back in 1999. I left the church because I felt women were not treated as equals. We can't act as ushers, we can't help carrying the mic when other members want to ask a question in the church. Men rule over all.

We can't wear pantsuits. If our husband is in the church, and we are not as involved we are labeled as "non-cooperative spouses" and are forced to have Marital Counseling

Forgot about us not being able to celebrate the holidays or even our birthdays. We are not even allowed to donate blood. That's the real reason the famous Latino singer "Selena" died.

Her family was Jehovah's Witnesses and the surgeon was PLEADING with the family that Selena would LIVE if she were to be transfused 3 pints of blood. The family refused!

I left and I couldn't be happier. I dreaded getting up at the CRACK OF DAWN on a Saturday morning and standing with another member of the church on a busy intersection trying to get people to read the Watchtower. Or bothering them in their homes trying to convert them. What a waste!

Just remember when you read these responses that your dedication is between you and Jehovah and not with man. Do not let these negative answers spoil your zeal! Remember too that all who want to serve as a disciple of Jesus in these last days will be persecuted. My advice to you is to make sure you weed through these answers to your great news and choose only to read ones that you can tell are from genuine Christians. The others are apostate poison from the god of this system of things (2 Corinthians 4:4) and you need to make sure not to consume even a drop of it. I hope everything goes well with your questions and welcome to God's organization!

Seriously I am happy you are going to get baptized, but why do you have to answer questions to get baptized? And whats this next time stuff?
God's love is free and needs no test. Only one question, am I ready to accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior, and be forgiven for my sins?
I hope I don't sound like I'm raining on your parade. Good Luck and God Bless you.

I know they are in fact the only ones telling the truth.
But you really should not be on this internet exposing yourself to people who might be dis fellwshipped.
Not to mention all the apostates, and outright demonically influenced pagans.
Remember,do not give what is holy to the dogs...they might turn around and rip you open.

It breaks my heart when people look to some man or organization for salvation. Jesus is the way the truth and the light no one comes to God but by Him. Jesus is the path you need to follow not the watchtower..

So you are a Jehovah's witness or not. If you are or someone reading this is not, the following link supplies info about the Jehovah's and why they are not true Christians.

Dear friend,

Congratulations ( you'll do fine.) and welcome to the our global brotherhood; but use discretion posting certain matters on this site because you'll get some responses you'd rather not hear and not worth dignifying with a response.
