I am just about done finishing taking out the curly perm that i had in my hair that broke it off really bad. Everytime i go to get my hair done, i always go to the hair dresser, and no matter what type of perm they do, it never works for me. When i first got my perm, my mom did it and it lasted a long time.

Your mom probably has the time to roll the hair properly and follows the time limit for solution. Sounds like the hair dresser is leaving the solution on too long maybe. If hair is tinted or relaxed and blow dryed on a regular basis and permed also, this is very damaging to the hair. Even under these brutal conditions a good hair salon can get a good perm. Use Mom or if Mom isn't available, find another salon.

well why not get a different hair cut instead of a perm? they cause a lot of damage to hair and hairdressers use a stronger solution than the kind your mom is using from the store probably...and the perms you are complaining about are what is breaking it off so badly...let it grow thru the summer when hair grows the fastest and if you can't stand it by then, let your mom give you one...

Please go to a pro. My mom did my perms for years. It wasn't until i went to a pro that i realized its not supposed to burn! You just gotta find a good salon. I go to JC Penney Styling Salon and my hair has never looked better.

sometimes at home treatments are not as harsh as the ones they use in the salons have your mom do it for sure. if it hasn't been that long ago since you had your hair done you might want to wait or it may mess it up no matter who does it. good luck.

it is all about the perm i use Hawaiian silk it never breaks out u choose if you want the hair dresser to do it then let them do it if you want your mom to do it then let her
