I've been divorced for a long time, and although I've had other relationships, there is much to be said for being independent. I do get lonely sometimes, but I choose whether I am lonely or just alone.
InfamousAmy was right on target when she said she had time to find out who she was. Take this time to learn about yourself. Don't measure who you are by who is in your life.
Get involved in community activities. Volunteer work is very rewarding and you meet the nicest people!
Plant your own garden and water your own soul, and see what grows. Then when someone comes into your life, you will have something beautiful to offer and you will be amazed by the beauty of the person who chooses you. And remember, that beauty will be a reflection of the beauty in your own spirit.
The destination is not the goal - the joy lies in getting there, so enjoy the journey!

Yes, you are the only single person in the whole world! Its funny I have just departed ways from my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. Quite frankly I endured a lot of b.s. in those 2 1/2 years. Right now I am happy I am single because I dont have to deal with someones crap. I dont feel lonely because I am above it...I can rationalize that I do not need a man in my life to validate me.

You're certainly not alone. Being single has been the best thing for me. I have had time to find out who I am and feel very strong as an individual. Take advantage and embrace this opportunity!!

I'm single, but not lonely by any means, or depressed. I would accept a woman in my life if she was right for me. Otherwise, i'll just be single, having a good time, and patiently waiting.

hey whats wrong in being single you should be enjoying it..haveing good fun and doing loads of flirting..i mean what would you prefer a boreing marriage where you are bored out of your nut no where to turn. cant go out. responsibilities. its like this when you are married you crave for a single life...when you are single you crave for a relationship...there aint no winning..just enjoy why you can.

It's fun sometimes, but it is nice to find love. I've been here for a while myself, and I'm still single. Don't worry, hopefully someone will come along.
