The things I do for my hay fever is avoid the trigger and take medications to minimize the symptoms, when I can't avoid the triggers.

I'm alergic to dust, cats, dogs, grass, trees, etc.

When I visit someone with a cat, either I don't stay long and I go home and take a benedryl or I take a benedryl while I'm visiting and my wife drives home. My wife and kids mow the lawn. I stay inside during spring pollen season. I have the filters on the A/C cleaned twice a year.

There may be no remedy for hayfever that takes it away never to be treated again, but the symptoms can be minimized and managed pretty easliy.

It helps to know what you are alergic to, so you can keep a log of what causes the symptoms or have a systematic test done to see what you are alergic to.

Try wearing a balaclava back to front, this will filter the pollen & prevent it goin in your eyes or up ya nose or down your throat. Who wud av thought that a simple item of clothing could be so useful eh?

You can get over the counter allergy formulas from your local pharmacy. The 24 hour type work well for me. You can also ask your physician especially if you have other medicial issues that need to be considered.

Allergy shots and pills.

I have very severe allergies. My tests were off the chart. In fact my arm swelled up so much, they had to stop testing. My eyes used to glue shut at night. SEE AN ALLERGIST!
