Personally, I think that pets are angels that are sent down to watch over us in times of need.
Read "Quick Children's Sermons" Will my dog go to heaven. Remember God made those animals. And for the people that have those "evil pets", my grandfather bred German Shepherds for 20 years for the Denver Police Department. He had a personal philosophy that there were no bad dogs, only bad owners.

Only beings with "souls" will either go to Heaven or Hell. Animals do not fall into that category. I understand that many people would like to believe a "here-after" exists for their best animal buddies. I know that I would like to see my puppy, Aqui, that died when I was younger, as well as "Johnny Lewis" my English spaniel whom I had to tearfully put to sleep due to declining health in his old age. They would make great companions for eternity. Thank you for allowing me to have pleasant thoughts of my pets and share them with you in your question.

interesting question. Do animals have souls? Personally I see heaven as a new created earth, as that's what God has promised in Revelation, I hope that animals exist there as they do here. Ultimately as in everything it is up to God

I like to think that my Yorkie will be in heaven with me. I think animals bring people so much joy on earth that God would not deny you that same joy in heaven. :O)

There's no such thing.
it's just something we nade up to tell kids to soften the blow when their pets die. It's just like the human heaven we made up to tell ourselves to soften the blow when our loved ones die. It's a defense mechanism to believe they go somewhere better, it makes letting go of them easier.
