Just another lie that has been told of other religions by people who have an agenda against other peoples beliefs.
Catholics know that the Pope is a human being, therefore NOT to be worshiped.

I don't, either. In the Presbyterian church, our leaders are just people who have been called by God and have been educated to perform the task set before them. We do not worship them, we worship God and allow our leaders to guide us and our church in our efforts to be good Christians.
Maybe the religions you are talking about don't feel they are worshipping the Pope or an Imam. I don't know, because I do not follow them, but perhaps they hold them in very high regard and high respect because they believe these people were chosen by God to lead the church. I doubt they feel they are worshipping them.

I do not know anyone who worships either. They are leaders of a religion and not God. I recently studied the life of John Paul II, and it may surprise some to know that there is no references at all to people worshiping him, and no references of him trying to get people to worship him. John Paul II clearly and consistently directed all worship to God, as I am sure Imams do as well. Ignorant people who want to run down religion(s) or what they (wrongfully) believe as opposing religions, often spread disinformation and spew falsehood. All this does is increase intolerance and violence while offering no glory and honor to God at all.

As others have already mentioned, although clergy are held in high esteem, they are not "worshiped" instead of God. They are simply looked at as respectable spiritual leaders, in much the same way someone venerates the President, idolizes a football player, or respects a particular author. These people are seen as inspirational figures in a system of faith that has "worshiping God" at the core of its structure.

As a Christian, i can tell you that nobody worships the pope. As a person who has studied Islam very carefully, I can tell you that worshiping Imams is not part of the Muslim religion.

I'm Catholic and I don't know any one who worships the Pope. Anyone who would do this would be in direct violation of Catholic doctrine.
Catholics only worship God.
With love in Christ.

I think all religions worship someone or something other than God. Just look at each without prejudice and you will come to the same conclusion.
Here in the US - Christians worship their ministers, pastor, preachers or priests just as much as they do God/Jesus.

It may not "actually" be worship, I don't think Catholics actually equate the Pope with God, but I still think revering a human in the way that they do is wrong.

Not all religious people do that. And most don't "worship" them. They just respect for their religious authority and "power".
