My feeling is that it doesn't matter what others think if you are happy with the situation. You never will be happy if you are looking for others to approve of your relationships as you have to be the one that is happy. Each situation is different and depends upon it's own merits. The important thing is how he makes you feel? By asking, I am wondering if you don't have some problems with the relationship and are trying to justify it through other's opinions. You have to be happy with yourself first and you never will be if you try and define yourself in others terms. Age shouldn't be a problem if you have a great relationship but it should be more than just sex. There are older guys who seem younger than a person half their age and there are younger guys or girls that actually are worse and seem older than someone twice their age. Each situation is different and should stand on it's own merits and only you and he can decide what those are. Good luck either way. Oh one cavat though. If you are attracted to this older man because he reminds you of your father then my answer is changed to Gross.

Are you asking this question as some affirmation from others because you think it is bad or gross?
The 21 year old Woman and the 46 year old Man apparently have no qualms. Why do you? They are consenting adults.

At 21 and 46 you are both adults. As long as both consent, there is nothing bad about it. Gross depends on your point of view.

You are both legal consenting adults - so whether it's bad/gross is really up to you. The fact that he is old enough to be your dad might give you an inclination that maybe you'd do better with someone younger. He's probably also old enough for your mom to be dating. But, you are an adult and can sleep with whoever you want to. If you are both comfortable with the situation then why would you care about what anyone else thought.

very he is old enough to be your father and is just using you to say he was with a younger girl think of it this way if he was 36 and you would only be 10 do you still think it's okay? I know maturity levels are older than a 10 yr old but still anything more than 8 yrs is WAY WAY TOO old and just gross

I think Gross, let me tell you why.
I have a sister in law who is your age dating and older man who is also about 46 or 47, they were only together for about 10 months before he got her pregnant and now the sicko wants to trade in for someone who isn't pregnant.

If you are not married, then it is bad. I am speaking form experience. Now I am married to my husband, and he is 25 years older than me. My motto is: Age Aint' Nothing But a NUMBER. Don't be having sex just to be having sex. If he really loved you, he would marry you. I am just glad that the Lord blessed me to get married.
