Do you Believe in God? Why or Why Not?

I do. But I want to know why you believe in god and how do you know hes real

sure i believe in God ...

and why bcs we have minds to use it and thinking ..and we will know there is God/Allah ...

and read this story and u know thats he is real ..just we dont back to him ( using our minds) ..

Proof that God exists? This is one of the best explanations
of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It's an
explanation other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.

As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.

They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I
don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the
customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick
people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be
neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine loving a God who would allow
all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't
want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the
street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked
dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said
to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say
that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I
just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist
because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and
untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- Affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES
exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Nope. Give me some evidence and we can talk. I believe gods are only needed when there are important questions without answers, and most of them are already answered (even though many don't accept them as true) Where did we come from? The Big Bang and evolution theories pretty well take care of this (I believe in an infinite number of universes before and to come, however, like a circle, it has no beginning and no ending) Where do we go when we die? Nowhere, we are dead, there's just nothing.

True, none of this can be proven, but I take this over the word of some tribesmen over 2000 years ago who couldn't even keep the idea of a monotheist religion straight all the time, or who thougth the world was flat, the sky a dome, etc.

Because everything that's around us got here by a designer and creator.We went to an aquarium the other day and there were giant eels that were beautifully colored and each had a distinct design on them,there were colorful fish that were all the same like little Nemo.The jelly fish glowed like lights in the water.I thought God had fun making these fish and my son said this is evidence of a designer.The sun and the moon and the planets all stay where they're supposed to,all of this would be hard to believe that it could happen by accident.

yes!! i believe bc well..there's just so much evidence, both scientific and not. i believe bc of the complexity of our bodies and how we function, and i dont know how ppl could think we got here and from evolution and natural causes. even the smallest and simplest cell is more complex than anythign we could ever create as humans, and even if we tried it would involve intelligence...so our creation had to have involved intelligence. and just proof thru physics and the constants and equations that show the fine-tuning of our environment and the universe. also, our consciousness and our souls. we're more than just a body and more than just the product of our brains activity. we can think, reason, love, and all that so and how would all of that come out of evolution alone? anything and everything is proof for God's existence.

Yes.
I believe because I see small miracles everyday.
I believe because it is scary not to believe.
I believe because many times in my life, when I was feeling the absolute worst and thought I could not go on, somehow the strength came to me and I had an overwhelming feeling that I was special and loved and that I was being looked out for.

And for all the zealots saying "How can you not belive ..."
-> Guess what, there are plenty more religions, around 3 billion people don't believe in God but in other gods (Budha, indian gods, etc), learn some humility

Not really, for where was any God when Tsamis wash over and drown people or when 30,000 are killed because of an earth quate in Iran or many orthers. Where is God when people hate because of clerics teaching hate of others, all this I question????

I belive in God beacuse he's our savoir, he sent jesus to die for us on the cross. i know he's cuz of the bible. that book is a history of god's word. and yes everything in it is true because people trying to disprove the bible have actually found evidence supporting the bible, like the archeologists or someone like that were diggin up a place to show there was nothing of that place there and found skeletons of giants, like 8 foot tall skeletons, as described in the bible. :)) so yes, i believe in God.

God loves you so much... he sent his 1 and only son Jesus to die on the cross to forgive you and heal you... he then rose up the 3rd day. John 3:16 "4 God so loveth the world that he sent his only bgotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Accept him now... "Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for me and rose the 3rd day.. I know I wasn't living my life right, but I accept you now 2 come into my heart and forgive me. I repent now, I love you Lord. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY. AMEN" One day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that, “JESUS IS LORD”

Definitely, the evidence is everywhere, I won't get into detail...but I also feel him working in my life. I wouldn't be where I am right now without Him, and he answers my prayers. But that's a major synopsis
