I get it, and when people tell you to talk to them, yeah its a good idea, but its not really that easy.
See they do the exact same thing to me, well at least thats what i feel like, and since i cant keep a journal b/c my sibiling steal it and read it like they always do then i just write, i write stories and poems, and then if they are really personal i rip them up, that way ive expressed what i feel and no one can no, see i dont want to hurt anyones feelings,

She is playing the guilt card. Try to talk to your parents one on one and tell them calmly and quietly that your feeling left out. That the way your sister is acting seems to be bringing her more attention and stuff than what you are getting and could you spend some one on one time with me please. I understand what you are going through and it is really tought. When I was 15 my brother was 10 and my parents had been divorced for a year and a half. My father remarried and wanted my brother to come live with him because it would make a perfect little family. He hadn't acknowledged me in over a year. It hurt me a lot. But here I am in the end having told my mother a long time ago that I needed her attention as much as my brother did she made the effort and made me feel much better.

Although my parents are not divorced, they do give one of my sister's special attention. And I even have another sister who agrees with me about the situation. I have tried talking to my parents, you can try that, it didn't work too well for me. The only thing that has worked, is when I try to do something for my parents in order to get something I want, like doing chores around the house. You could try throwing a fit as well, tears can sometimes break your parents.

well if shes like 1-10, throwing a fit is understandable i guess but if shes over 10 you might want to tell your parents that shes pathetic

WEll its hard when your put in a situation like that so maybe try and get there attention in a way that if u werent there anymore they would feel like crap or sit them down and tell them how you feel about everything. it should work or they dont love you enough to care

You should try talking to your parents and tell them how it makes you feel to see her get everything she wants. Divorce can be tuff on teens or young adults. Dont be afraid to try a support group. Goodluck and always be good to yourself!

its not just with divorced parents, but with most married parents too....they just don't want to have to deal with the fussing and the whining.....but i'm sure they see you as the more responsible and mature girl.....i think what you should do is sit down with your parents and tell them how you feel.....i understand completely how you feel, because my older and younger sister are spoilt brats who whine and fuss when they don't get what they want....and my parents give it to them...its like HELLO?? IF YOU GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT, THEY'RE GONNA KEEP DOING IT.....i think the best thing to do is to sit with your parents and tell them how you feel about this....i hope this helps!

TALK to them! In a rational manner and a respectful tone. Tell them how you feel and then ask them if you should throw tantrums to get YOUR way....good luck!
