Good luck with the INS. When I tried to report a violent man-whom I knew was here illegally, the INS told me to write to them. Eventually, after seriously injuring his girl friend, he went to jail. Will he be deported? Don't count on it. The same govt. indiferrence goes if you try to report welfare scams. And no, I don't think it's racist to speak up about people who are breaking federal law. It is our civic duty. Who will defend our country, if we don't?

Well, (as the other poster says) you may not be a very nice person for wanting to take advantage of the recent anti-immigrant political climate in this country to exact revenge on someone whom you happen to dislike--but if your co-worker is here illegally, then probably neither is he...and your employer ain't all that terrific, either, for knowingly hiring illegals.

Sure, you can report him to "la migra" (aka the INS). But if your employer finds out who ratted him out, your job could be on the line.

But then you could sue for wrongful termination.

And so it goes...

call but do not give your personal information or from you home phone or cell phone. They like to here about illegals

The problem is people that make the Laws are always looking out for themselves. If one of them speaks out against illegals they know that the Spanish population will be up in arms and not vote for them. So they keep quiet hoping that the non-Spanish population does not notice or care. They want to sweep it under the rug hoping it will go away on its own. The non-Spanish population needs to get on in the street and protest like the Spanish population does. So those in Washington know we do care and we also vote on election day.

I see!!! How about a compromise. First are you sure he is illegal? He may have a work visa.Remove your personal feelings and just do the right thing for the right reason. Now,call immigration. Peace.
