hey pervey pirate, i think most anyone can get closer to god by drinking german beer. you know when i was in the army and first got to germany you could see a monastery on the hill opposite the compound, which was out in the country. the monks there brewed beer and sold it.
i only got to stay there a couple days before they sent me to giessen.

Serious answer, though: It matters not so much what specific activity you are doing, as where your attention and consciousness are focussed. God is always here, and you only need to realize THAT. You can do it riding a bicycle, knitting, having tantric sex, or even,,,,drinking German Beer.

I would probably say the Baptists, just because I think their beliefs are more Biblical. That said, I don't think it's a sin to drink alcohol, only when done in excess.
