Friendship is the BEST basis to form real love on. Do not push him! That will only make him flee away from you. Guys hate to be pushed. Be his friend and be there for him. Eventually he will either see how great you might be together, or you will realize he was right and you are better off as just friends. Give it time!!

Yes it can hurt if you love him and he doesn't back but look at it as a building block in your relationship. Stay with him and continue to get to know one another. It's a very good thing to build a strong relationship first. He'll love you back just might take him more time. If he only insists on being friends then as much as it hurts you must break ties with him and move on as it is only fair to the both of you. If you do get another relationship break all ties with the "ex" as this only causes problems there is no "just friends" when another is involved...good luck to you.

From my life experience, I can tell you that either (1) he's looking for an easy way to back out of the relationship because he's found someone else he wants to be with and doesn't want to hurt you; or (2) he's looking to play the field. In either case, you need to move on. Whenever you feel hurt, remind yourself that it's a big, big world out there. There are almost 6 billion people in the world. It should be virtually impossible to be hurt badly by one person--think about it.

Yes that type of thing does hurt big time.I think it would be best if you just accept what he told you. Then you take a little time to think it over and decide if you want to stay friends or move on.I'd be friends but I wouldn't wait on him either.Life is to short not to be happy.

Just move on girl!

If he's saying this I can assure you he doesn't want anything serious with you, he probably already have someone else in mind. I know it sounds bad but it is the truth!

Men always know exactly what they want the only reason they pretend with you to not know what they want is simply because they don't want nothing but a fling with you.

Let him go. If you love him, eventually he'll see that or you'll get over him. But if he does come back, don't jump into it right away, he might hurt you again. Give it some time.

Have him for a friend to do things with, but look for someone else. That seems to be what he's done.

Being friends for a while isn't such a bad thing. Try it and see if it works for you.
