Baptism is a personal decision. Baptism alone will not guarantee that your child will grow up in the religion they are baptised into and it will not hold them a place in heaven just because they are. If a child dies before they have been taught about Jesus or about salvation, they will automatically go to heaven...baptised or not. If they are old enough to know about it and understand it, and deny Christ, they won't go to heaven...baptised or not.
Our church has a dedication, where we "dedicate our child to God" meaning, we stand before everyone and promise to God that we will raise our child to know Him and to do everything in our power to take care of that child as we should.
If you are a Christian, your best chance in getting your child into heaven is to love them, pray for them and do your best to get them involved and active in church and most importantly, teach them about what Jesus did for them, and lead them to be saved, by accepting Christ into their lives and repenting from their sins.

I think that baptism is a public display of your devotion to Christ and your dedication to him for your life. I dont really know any small children who can grasp that concept. I think that having your baby DEDICATED in the church is a wonderful thing, but baptism as a child seems oddly unnesicary. Even in scripture it was grown men and women who were baptised, not children. Nowhere in the bible does it say you have to baptise your child.
here is a passage about Jesus' baptism:
21When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened 22and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
Luke 3:21-22

Historically Children were NEVER baptised! ONLY adults-- after they could understand! The Roman Cult does Child baptism to get the kid hooked in to the Cult at an early age!

You do not baptize a child until they fully understand who God is, and what it means to be a Christian, and only after the Holy Spirit comes to them and they on their own go to the alter and ask Jesus to come into their hearts and to take over their lives. Baptism is only for those who have reached the age of accountability, and they know right from wrong ,and that the wrong they do is a sin against God. Then they as for the Lord to forgiven them of their sins, and start living for the Lord. Babies and little children who do not understand what a sin is or what the difference between right and worng is, do not get baptized. Baptism does not get you into heaven. Accepting Christ as your savior does.

Children are pure and don't understand what sin is. They do not need to be Baptized, and there are no biblical examples of a child being baptized. But at the age of accountability that all changes. Acts 2:38

I don't believe in a baby being baptized. A baby is too young and they don't know nothing about what is expected of them as far as living a holy life. They are not knowledgeable. In order for us to be baptized,we must first repent, what do a baby know about repentance. I believe if they're like 9 and up,and they know about Yah and they have been studying the word and they decide they want to live for Yah,then I believe they can be baptized because Samuel was 8 yrs old when Yah called him.

Babies have committed no sin. They have no need for forgiveness of sins.
A proper age for baptism is age 8. By this age a child has developed mentally enough to have gained a reasonable ability to make good choices. They are able to reason things out, and decide between right and wrong. This is a good age for them to become accountable for their actions through baptism, where they are pronounced clean and begin their lives in reasonable accountability and responsibility.

The Bible says Believe and be baptized. A child under, 5 or so years old, maybe 4, could hardly believe.
Baptism shows that you associate, or side with the Lord.

I think that being baptised is different then being deticated to the church.....bapitism is a public showing that you believe in a God and accept Jesus as your savior......how can a baby know this....dedication just means that the parents promise to raise the child up in the church

I think it's perfectly fine, maybe even good. Attention to all (or at least other) religions should be given, not just Christianity, when children are young so they can decide for themselves rather than just being one more brainwashed person in organized religion.
Individuality is a great thing, and it begins with the mind.
