A couple of hours ago, my arm started itching. When I noticed the spot it had something that looked like a blister put it had pus in it. It had a red circle around it not really big. But it keeps itching and now the red spot is the size of a dime and it is swollen (the red spot.) The pus pocket or blister is in the center of the red swollen circle. This bite is on my lower left arm & my arm is hurting all the way to my elbow & it is sharp/shooting pains. I am going to search for spider bites but I wanted to try here first since I have found a lot of good answers here. Thanks to those who help me.

Your best bet would be to see a doctor. But, you could try draining the pus with a sterile needle, making sure all of the pus drains out. And then clean it thoroughly with mild soap and lukewarm water and hydrogen peroxide, and cover it with some sterile gauze or a large bandaid to keep it clean.

Yes, this is starting to sound like one. I would recommend you go to the emergency room. If this is a brown recluse spider bite, it'll keep spreading....and leave some very ugly scars. ALL spiders are poisonous, just most don't have the strenghth to penetrate our skin. One of the most poisonous spiders whom we call harmless is a Daddy Longlegs. Now quit messing around on the computer and go to the emergency room to get checked out. Best of luck.........

Sounds like a brown recluse spider bite. I would go to the ER immediately!

And daddy-longlegs are not poisonous.

I work with a guy who was bitten by a brown recluse without even realizing it until he had similar symptoms to you. He ended up missing a month of work and had $75,000 in hospital bills because he waiting to go to the doctor and it got very infected. Please go to immediate care if you can, and good luck.

If you stop itching, it will go away in a day or two. I had one on my right arm and that's what i did.
