My boyfriend has a rash on his torso and face that he's had for almost a week now. The itching and pain were so severe that we went to the ER night before last. The Doctors seemed to give us a BS respone, "We don't know what it is, or how it is caused, but basically, you have to just let it run its course." We have our theories as to the cause: We think it is the effect of exposure to toxic mold, or a severe allergy to Kava kava... The point is, it is attacking his face now in large, blister-looking, painful, bright red lumps. (he normally has a beyond-perfect complexion). He has scratched his back and arms so much, he has broken the skin and has bruises all over. Please, the doctors don't seem to take this seriously; If anyone has ANY helpful information, I would be most grateful. Thank you!!

It sounds alot like a herpes like virus. Could be shingles since its on his torso. Make an appointment with a dermotologist or his family doctor. The ER is for emergencies and may not do the necessary test.

This website is where you can look at a new health product. It is specificlly designed to kill bacteria and viruses on the skin for hours at a time. Pure Works also contains a special formula to improve skin health. If this rash is caused by any bacteria or virus on his skin this will kill it and will help his skin conciderably. I currently use the product to improve skin, clean wounds, and to use on my hands to protect myself from viruses and bacteria.

I have never had this kind of rash before though.
