I am trying to figure out how many calories are in a Louisiana snowball. Here are the facts:
75 pounds of sugar to 75 pounds of water
A bottle of syrup is one quart, so approximately 2 pounds of water (and therefore two pounds of sugar)
Each bottle of syrup makes about four snowballs
Sooooo.....each snowball has about half a pound of sugar in it, right?
How many calories is that?

There are about 878 calories in a half a pound of granulated sugar.

My 4 lb. bag of sugar has 454 teaspoon servings at 15 calories / tsp. That is 6810 calories. Divide by 8 for 1/2 lb. and it comes to 851.25 calories.

Sugar has 18 calories per teaspoon, which is about a gram.
There are 28 grams to an ounce.
A half pound = 8 ounces. 8X28X18= 4032 calories. Not a small amount!

Wow, r u trying to get high off of sugar, I wouldnt eat it, Are you sure you want to know how many callories there are? Im guessing over 100% of your daily value.
