Most people don't put red wine in the fridge (even after it's opened) but I like my reds slightly chilled so, occasionally I will do that. As for how long, I wouldn't keep it around any longer than a week and it's preferable to limit it to just a couple of days.

Red wine should not be kept in the fridge. It is best consumed at room temperature. An open bottle of red wine can be kept (out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources) for up to 3 days (with the cork replaced) before its flavour starts to taint.

I wouldn't put red wine in the fridge to begin with, red wine is meant to be stored at room temperature and then the most I'd leave it three days max before I'd throw it out.

If you recork a half-drunk bottle andput it in the fridge to drink later: MOST reds start to erode within a few days, but some get better being open for a day or two. A week is the upper limit, after that, you have the makings for decent vinaigrette.

When you open for just a sip, the wine will not allow you to leave some for the fridge, you will finish all of it and there would be no need for you to worry about the storage.
