Sure it's normal. Most everyone has some anxiety over having to do or experience things that are out of their "normal" routine. Since everybody is different, they experience this anxiety in different ways. For some it is only mild, for others it can be quite extreme. Discuss it with your parents, perhaps they can offer you some advice and support to ease your concerns. If your case is in the extreme a trip to the doctor may be in order. A doctor might be able to provide a sedative or some other type of medication to help with your anxiety on a temporary basis. Try not to think about having to spend the night. Instead, think of the fun you will have playing basketball and making new friends.

Sincerely,
Terry
