I would not recommend these for your cat, I got it, it grew some weird looking grass, my cats ate it and threw it up all over the place, then when I got a fake plant, it had some carboard like stringy things in the base, they ate the cardboard things and puked that up all over the place, now Im afraid to get any type of plant, because they will probably eat it and puke all over the place. :(

The only plant I allow my cats is a catnip plant. I have one growing in a pot and set it in for the cats for 15-20 minutes about 2-3 times a week. They love it and not one of them (4) has puked.

First I'd try calling the company that makes the grow-your-own-cat-grass stuff and complaining... then I'd wait a few weeks before I got another plant. Try getting hanging plants, the cats won't be able to reach those, or just put the plants on high stands or tables the cats can't jump onto.
If you want to get a fake plant again, you can take out the cardboard strings and try placing either soil or something decorative, like gravel or those glass bead things you can buy at aquarium shops. Anything not organic and inedible by cats.
If you do decde on real plants again, sprinkle blakc pepper/chile pepper or pepper flakes in the soil to deter the cats. Make sure they are kitty-friendly plants too... you can find a list at http://www.cfa.org/articles/plants-non-toxic.html
Good Luck!

The cat grass kits are usually great my cats love them ..but yes cat grass can make the puke..it also gets ride of hairballs too. Do not use lawn seed as that has weedkiller and stuff in it. The Spider plant is not poisionous but a lot are ..so me personally, I don't have plants other than sometimes some cat grass

Believe it or not, the purpose of eating grass is to make cats puke. Outdoor cats eat it on their own for that reason. It helps with hairballs. However, a cat can get along just fine without it.

I got one of those grass things for cats and he totally ignored it. Since I have been giving my cat the food made specially for indoor cats, he has been leaving my plants alone. Give it a try.

I bought one of those. My cat at the time seemed to have difficulty pulling the grass from the dirt- it just wouldn't tear off!
Next time I bought cat grass seeds and it has worked really well.

I've gotten wheat grass and oat grass for my cat before. She loves them. They've never made her vomit, but one time she pulled up some of the grass that had dirt attached to it and ate it. This caused her to have diarrhea. So, I don't buy them anymore.
I also had the problem with them getting moldy.

I bought this small circular tub of grass for my cats. It was called Sweetgrass.
My cats ate it, and they were just fine. You do realize that cats and dogs eat grass and other plants for roughage, and it helps assist them in removing things that're foul in their bellies, right?
Sometimes vomiting for them is good. :)

You can go to your local pet store and purchase grass that is safe for your cat. I did it because my cats love to eat it outside but that kind is very bad for their stomachs.
