I had it, in fact, many women experience PPD. The statistics are very high. It doesn't help when you have an abusive spouse. I am not saying that your husband is abusive, but you need his support right now, not criticism. He needs to be educated on the matter, and I would suggest counseling to you both. Good luck and God bless.

well i have had two babies and i would say i had it both times, the first time i had it so bad i was admitted to a mental health hospital and it was not good at all, but when i had it i found out there was another reason why i was all messed up, i have bipolar and that is when it was discovered, the doctor said all the hormones made it detected, i hope this helps, also i have the best mental health doctor and the right combo of meds, so i am pretty much back to normal

I cried, was crazy after my first son....asked my husband for a walnut sundae from Dairy Queen...he came back with pineapple....still in hospital at this time...and I hate pineapple ....everything is out of whack in those early days...yes hormones too...but the fear of this new little person that will need you day and night to survive....you are not sick but normal...becoming a Mom is a big deal!

My mother had postpartim depression after her miscarriage. It was a terrible ordeal for her. You're not crazy. Keep your head up and keep getting treatment!
