I consider myself as a good citizan over all. I usually donate my hard earn money to the sheriffs and fire dept. Until a couple of months ago when my boyfriend got beat up by 20+ guys.(The beef was 4 years ago with including 2 brothers.) I took him to the sheriffs Dept to file a report. They then called the fire dept over and what did they do? They laughed at him-saying "You got beat up and you're still standing around?" (The officer apparently knew the brothers) -The report never got filed. Tilll this day-I'm still bitter.

No exaggerations: My bf went to a "Sutter" party-walked in- The party stopped. He then got the clue-walked out- and they all jumped on him.(Thank God my bf's brother was there to help) and why not the Hospital first? Com'on - guys are stubborn creatures. They always try to avoid the Dr's. Not only that- our Hospital is really shi*ty- litterally have to wait 9 hours to be seen.

I would file a civil suit against them for their terrible conduct.
It's a big let down when these things happen...and yet you're supposed to show them respect!!!! Grrrrrrrr.

Well if after getting beat up, he went to the sheriff office not the hospital, then it must not have been too bad. And of course various deputies making 6 or 8 dollars ahour are all you can get sometimes for the money in many areas.
So he merely left and did not file the report, he did file a complaint with the supervior ( Sft or Lt or deputy sheriff or sheriff. He did not go in another time to file the report when another officer was on duty ???
Be bitter, but even when things fail at times, we also have to be responsible to continue to do things

Did you keep following up on the report? you should have called a lawyer right away. What the heck did your bf do to make 20+ guys beat him up? Why did you not take him to hospital first and call police from there?

There are good and bad sheriffs. You were just unlucky to find one bad. Just go to another sheriff, I'm sure you get your justice or talk to a lawyer and take pictures of your boyfriend. Do not ever donate on sheriffs again, you're just wasting your money.

Chuck, your an idiot. Are you actually defending a cop that didn't file a report cause he didn't get paid enough. Get another job then, i say. Should a person have to go in several times to get the cops top do their job. He must have been fat and lazy like you.

make a complaint against the deputy, and calling the fire department doesnt help. there is no fire. if he didnt want to go to the hospital, then he should have gone to the walkin clinic the next morning

I am not completely sure I understand your question, but if I do, you could file a lawsuit and it sounds to me like you could get your money back and some more. This is not proper.

call there internal affair division file a case. fbi investigates sherriff/police misconduct .
