It all depends on the person. In my opinion, I would prefer to know the truth. Telling the truth to some one can also be hurtful, but in the long run either way it will make me a stronger person!

The truth with regards to certain thing do indeed hurt. For example, someone telling you they don't love you anymore, someone saying to you that they want a divorce, a doctor telling you you have cancer, or have some catastrophic disease, a coach tells you that even with admirable effort, you are not good enough to make a sports team, etc.

the truth can hurt but depending on what it is. because if its not a bad truth then y would it hurt. but yeah i guess truth can hurt sometimes if it is about how someone feels about you or vice versa. But always remember it is better to know the truth then to know lies. even if it hurts its better to know the truth ;)
