No money necessary. Why be materialistic to show your love? It is so beautiful, doing something to touch her heart is the best gift.

How did you both meet? Do that again. Except, this time you do it with little bit of fanfare - dinner and movie later - or just cuddle in a quiet spot and whisper sweet nothings in her ear. Hey man, this is romantic.

Money is not everything. Buying her gift of any kind is cheap, in my opinion. It brings it down to the question of "...this is what you spent...." and losing sight of the big picture, that is, LOVE.

Just write back on this same Y!A as to how it all went, what you did (of course you will leave out certain things). We all are curious, genuinely serious.

Your Still Young, Whatever You Do Don't Buy Her a Ring to Show Her Friends, Girls/Young Ladies and Women Like to Show Off There Gifts that Come From their Boyfriends/Husband to Their Friends, If I Were You I'd Buy Her a Necklace with a Small Diamond Chip, and Just Hope that's Enough to Keep Her Happy, If She's Not Happy With That She Probably Won't Be Around for Next Year Anniverary Anyway! Good Luck, And I Hope This Helps, It's a Good Way to Figure Out if She's a Material Girl or Not!!

How about buying her a small yet meaningful gift, maybe a lil ring or a charm bracelet first charm being maybe a lil cupid or bday cake, to signify the day, maybe some flowers and a picnic basket with some cheese and fruits maybe a cpl wine glasses and some wine , then lets end the evening with a beautiful carriage ride at which point you could either take a small cd player with a song that YOU choose that tells her how you feel about her, or maybe a poem that either you write yourself or you find that describes her to you. And I can guarantee it should all come to well under $250.00 dollars. Good Luck hon , And Best Wishes ( and trust me YOU will be the ENVY of all bf )

Well i always kept things simple, i took my girlfriend for dinner at a fancy place then a small cruise around the lake for an hour (it was under $250) I suggest try something quiet and calm because an year aniversary feel is special and should be spent somewhere where you have your complete attention towards each other. If there isnt a lake around your area, maybe somewhere a lake front, or a beach walk, i know its old and common, but its simple and decent.

Our wedding was 23 days after our one year anniversary, and we were very strapped for cash by that point.

Our first date was at a chain resturant, so we always go back to a branch of that chain every July 31. We may have to do breakfast this year to make it work. It's a Monday.

Anyway, go to where you had your first date, and then take her somewhere significant to the two of you. Do you take walks? Where did you take your first walk? Build some traditions with her.

Get her a cool piece of jewlrey that she can wear all the time. My husband bought me a key charm on a very strong chain and told me it was the "key to his heart." I wear it every day and that was like 4 years ago. I don't think he spent more than like $60-80 on it.

Whatever you do, have fun! You've been with her a year. You know what she likes!

Geez 250 is a lot for a college student. Anyway I would get her a pendent necklace in either gold or silver depending on waht she wears. Make it something small but thoughtful. Then pick up a bottle of wine/or whatever else she likes to drink. And either take her out to a place she likes or even more romantic, stay in and get take out chinese.

You don't have to spend a lot, just be thoughtful.

You dont need to spend money.... You can take her on a park (somewhere romantic though) in the middle of the night, when everybody else will be asleep so no one will annoy you, lay down and see the stars together, and then see the sun rise....And there, under the stars, tell her that you love her....
If you like this, but you want to buy sth to her, you can combine this sth you'll buy to her with the "star-night". Take her necklace with a star.... OR, you can take a necklace with a half-heart and that you'll have the other half as a symbol that she's the second half of your soul... Yeeeap, i'd love my bf doing that to me.....

Get her some type of jewelry like a necklace with a heart on it and it can be stainless steel with cubic zerconium. Then get her flowers(roses of course),and think about something she really likes or really wants and get her that. Last but not least give her a hug and a big kiss to show how much you love her.

Take her out for a meal then perhaps a movie or dancing, have a nice present with you to give her during the meal. You don't have to spend lots of money to show how much you care.
