You need to talk to your doctor. I had epidurals for a ruptured disk and I was told that I could not do any bending for 24 hours. That may be the reason.

That is certainly not normal. I would recommend letting your doctor know ASAP

I am not sure, but myself, they tried 8 times between 2 specialists to give me an epidural and it never worked. I had all my contraction stay in my back and weather it was because of that or because of the multitude of tries for the epidural I have nearly constant back pain and my son is now coming up for 20 months on the 27th. It has just not gone away at all. I even wound up back in hospital 3 weeks after giving birth because everyone thought I had thrown a blood clot and collasped a lung, it was muscle problems in my right shoulder and right up and down my back. It hurt to move it hurt to breathe and ice felt like fire on my back. Next time I am going to skip on the epidural altogether and go it natural all the way.

If you just had the baby recently, like within a few months ago, your bones and joints are still "loose" and haven't returned to their normal position yet. I don't think it's the epidural. I could be wrong. But when I had my kids, for months afterwards, it felt like my whole lower body was sort of loose and swishy....my hips, lower back and legs joints sort of didn't feel "tight" enough. This is what happens to your body to allow the baby to be born, and then it returns to normal. This could be why your back is acting wierd.

how long ago did you have your baby?
i had my daughter in november, and i had problems til about january. its a needle in your spine, its going to hurt for a while... sometimes REALLY bad, some health freaks refuse to get an epidural.
