In the Saudi curriculam in some of our schools, the following is being taught

Here’s some of what Saudi school children are reading:
 “Judaism and Christianity are deviant religions”
 “The unbelievers, idolaters and others like them must be hated and despised.”
 “The apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus.”

A New York Times report confirms an earlier report in the Washington Post (see Anti-Semitism: Racist Saudi textbooks distributed in the United States) about racism in Saudi texts. The Saudi government has promised to clean up their texts, especially since 9-11, but "they are still working on it" it seems

As a Saudi I must say, that you are being rude and disrespectuful, as you SHOW GREAT IGNORANCE..

And about the "Saudi text" which you were refferring to.. well
We believe Judaism and Christianity are deviant religions, since Jews REJECTED AND HATED AND STILL ACTUALLY hate Jesus Christ.. as we also believe Christianity is also deviant because Jesus never TAUGHT ANY TRINITY, and for more insight, please check my answer to a questioner asking "Can anyone give me PROOF against Christianity?" go to my personal page and u'll find it there, JACKa$$

and about the apes, are jews.. etc..

WELL, AS A MATTER OF FACT THIS IS TAKEN FROM A STORY MENTIONED IN THE QURAN TALKING ABOUT SOME JEWS WHO USED TO BREAK THE SHABBAT, WE BELIEVE GOD TURNED THEM INTO APES AS A PUNISHMENT FOR THEM AND A LESSON TO BE LEARNT FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T BREAK IT, SO THEY KEEP BEING PIOUS AND SIN NOT.. SO.... THAT SENTANCE DID NOT MEAN THAT JEWS ARE ALL APES.. RATHER, THOSE WHO BROKE THE SHABBAT WERE THE ONES TURNED TO APES..

Read:

Quran 2:63. And (O Children of Israel, remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying): "Hold fast to that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein so that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

2:64. Then after that you turned away. Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allâh upon you, indeed you would have been among the losers.

2:65. And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."

2:66. So We made this punishment an example to their own and to succeeding generations and a lesson to those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious).

and FINALLY, BRING YOUR EVIDENCES THAT SUPPORT THE CLAIM WHICH YOU MADE.. WHEN YOU SAID: "while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus.”

WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IN THE QURAN?!

I'm done you f****t

Well, those quotes come from the Koran, and rather out of context not that I agree with any of it, I do NOT. But more importantly, are you telling us it is a PUBLIC school in the US? THIS I seriously doubt. Private schools should feel free to teach from whatever text they so desire and if it a Saudi school (and I am SURE there are some around the nation) then so be it. If I recall we have quite a few Christian schools around.

When you get to college you read completely biased textbooks all the time and the most important things that that teaches us, than just the authors' lopsided facts are that you should think for your self and always question everything. There are advantages to having those kinds of textbooks after all. Besides, not saying that I agree with any of those quotes or anything like that, but who are we to say what right and wrong are. Since when did we as Americans gain qualifications to pass judgement on morality.

That is a VERY good question, an even better one would be why allow Saudi textbooks anywhere in the world!!!!

Note: calling someone a sand ****** (as some posters are doing), is a reference to skin color and is therefore racist. If you want to criticize someone, criticize the ideology not the race.

Good luck!

Because the US is a free country and allowing freedom of thought is what makes us great. If we banned Saudi text books, we diminsh ourselves.

Even if such things would be really written in these textbooks they were very mild in comparison with Bush speeches and adverse effect on the society.
