iv have friends with new jetta's passats etc none with elec problems. If youre buying a new car, you have a warranty. the new 5 looks like a lot of fun.

I have a VW and they have lots of electrical problems. Everyone I know who has every had one says the same thing. Just be careful and aware that this is a problem.
