It too will pass.... the dog will probably live but you will regret it.

It will pass out the front end and it will pass out the rear end. Enjoy!

Dogs can get Salmonella poisoning just like humans...from eating raw chicken. Now many dogs...like many humans, have eaten raw chicken and been fine so perhaps nothing will happen. You should monitor the dog very closely and if you notice ANYTHING abnormal, go to the emergency vet clinic. You posted about 5hrs ago so if this was not hypothetical and did happen then you would probably start to notice something soon. I believe I remember reading that the signs of salmonella poisoning will show between 6-72 hours after ingestion. Vomiting and diarrhea would be a definite clue that something is wrong. Have the vets number next to the phone. Good luck.

This could kill a dog in a few ways.

1) food poisoning
2) triconosis (from the raw chicken)
3) a bone splinter, caught in the dog's throat

PLEASE be careful, and if you even suspect... get that dog to the animal hospital now.

Better safe than sorry.

You will have to watch your dog. It could get sick, but then it might not. Dog's have crazy digestion abilities and have been able to stomach some pretty amazing stuff over the years. Just keep an eye on him/her and if your dog gets really sick, you will need to call your vet. It may not be a bad idea to call the emergency on call vet and ask about it just in case. Good luck.

The bones could puncture the lining of the stomach and the rotten food could make your dog vomit. If your dog becomes ill, you should rush him to the vet. It is going to depend on the size of your dog and how much he ate. Good Luck..

Make an emergency call to your vet. If they are half decent, they will give you their thoughts on that. Dogs can eat just about anything. I have given my dog One spoonful of Hydrogen Peroxide(vet's orders) when she ate some cat mess-omigosh--you have to stick around 'cos it will definitely come up, and shortly. He said it was safe. I promise you.

The dog might get a stomach-ache and throw up, or they might be fine. Our dog has a habit of raiding the garbage and has eaten the NASTIEST stuff... and never had a problem.

It could cause a dog to throw up then you have to take it to the vet and you'll pay the bills if you did that.

Are you on your way to the vets or emergency vets yet? Dead and rotten is for vultures, not dogs.

It can make the dog deathly ill. Dogs and cats are prone to salmonella just like us, it can also kill the dog.
