We have been talking for about 3 months and have even quickly kissed a couple times, but no dates due to her being afraid. I know she is interested in me. I really don't know what to do at this point.

Walk to the edge of a building or the edge of a cliff. Sit and look out at the World. Think if this person is really worth what you might go thru. How many layers of scars that others have caused are you willing to cut thru?
Are you prepared to be that face of the abuser in the eyes of the abused when the dam breaks? Delayed stress is something beyond your control, when the abused takes a swing at your head with blood in their eyes and you realize they don't see you standing there, just some projection of their past.
Look at the trail you walked in on, and what is before you, if this person is worth it and your strong enough, it might work. Remember if you cure them of their past you might not be in their future...........experience

Show her what is right. She will trust you forever after that. I went to a Karate shop and purchased a can of police issue mace for 12.50 and kept it with me while seeing a x girlfriend with a crazy x boyfriend. He kicked her door in one night and I shot him down - he went running down the steps like a little baby and she never had a prob with him since. The only back fire was that the breeze was coming in towards her apartment and we ended up getting a dose of it - she was vomiting for a bit but was ok afterwards - lmfao.

Take her somewhere else. Another state or somewhere where her ex will never find her. Move to a small town that nobody knows about. Even if it doesn't work out between you two, at least she'd be somewhere where she's not as afraid of him and he can't find her.

Be cool dude, 6 years of taking abuse is not something she's going to get over quickly. Suggest that she get some professional counseling, perhaps you could offer to take her to counseling. Be her best friend, and it will pay off.

show her that your a different then her x...shes probably scared that u may turn out to be the same or afraid her x might find her. let her know they she well feel safe around u and ud neva hurt her.

be patient with her. she has lost trust in men and is probably protecting herself. Be a friend to her and let her decide when the time is right. Just tell her how you feel and wait.

just be her friend!!!! if it's meant to happen then it will but that ex of hers will always be an issue until he seeks help or -no offense-dies!!!
