It really does sicken me. It seems that a huge amount of the younger set...late teens/early twenties.....really think it makes them look radically cool and intellectual, when they bash God.

Ever heard the old saying, "You have to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything?"

I am a very intelligent woman, who is more than capable of thinking for myself. And, I KNOW that God is real.

I never posted this question to argue with anyone. Everyone has a right to believe what they will. But, hatred and bashing another....is never a good course.

I do not think there are than many people bashing God. there are a few here, since they can get a rise from many people. In general the number is the same as always. Do not worry, if your God is correct he wills over come all. Plus, all that is asked for you to keep your faith. You are not accountable for others faith. They do not have to believe as you do for you to go to heaven. Leave them alone and let them say as they do.

well i believe in God and i am a teen and well i see what you mean that it seems like more and more ppl are losing belief in God, sometimes just to be cool or other reasons well i hope that they all find that he is real. like maybe one day they will get a miracle and cuz that miraclous thing that happened like a birth of a child or someone living the next day that maybe they will see the works of God and start believing. You cuz there are miracles every where. Even the tiniest thing could be one but it doesn't matter the size it's still a miracle. But yes i agree with you but im not gonna start pushing religion onto people cuz i know i wouldn't want that. Also i think God will do that if he wants people to believe in him. But don't forget he gave us free will and so people are using that to not believe. But i have faith. like this guy i like he strictly doesn't believe and he went to a catholic school but says nothing can prove God is real. Also this other guy i like doesn't believe just bcuz. But i just don't try an push my religion on them to or ne one else for that matter. Free will.

It does sicken me also of the younger kids who are rebelling at the ultimate authority of God or submit their lives to him. But it is said, Treefrog.

Times are preparing for Christ's return and for the End Time to begin. The last of the prophecies will be fulfilled and those who do not repent of their sins, or mock God, shall have their place in the Tribulation period. But for believers of God Christ will come to take among Him in Heaven.

If you know God is real and that Jesus is your Lord Savior, keep it true to your heart. Remember God every day, thank Him for the things He's done to help your life be better, and continue going to church. Do fellowship with other Christians.

I know God is real because I've seen things that are governed by Him and elements that were influenced by 'smell of sulfur' and 'spiritual attacks.'

I am with you as do other Christians who are preparing for Christ. The only question you should be asking yourself is "Are you prepared?"

The number of Christians is growing, especially Evangelical Christians in this country. Consider the "God bashing" to be a backlash against all God-talk they are hearing lately. If you KNOW God exists, I 'd love for you to prove that to the rest of the world. Wouldn't true faith be knowing that you don't have full knowledge but are willing to believe?

People will be people, unfortunately people have to use sharp tongues against something they do not understand or believe in. They do it for attention, the do it to get a reaction, they do it because they like when the believers come back at them.
People have their beliefs and their unbeliefs...it is all about free agency. Unfortunately you cannot force a horse to drink once they are led to water.

We should respect one another no matter what we believe in or don't believe in.
If that is what people choose to do it is there problem and not yours.
Yes, it's irritating, but the best thing you can do is ignore them and let them believe what it is that they wish to believe.

well if Christians would stop hating and bashing, that would be a step in the right direction. It's kind of hard to say "why are you bashing our religion? that's not very cool" when other people of your religion are bashing everybody else (and it's not just a couple of people, it's a lot)

I think it's encouraging that the younger generation is learning to think for itself, and it's rejecting a lot of the silly notions the previous generation tried to drum into its collective head. People should not mindlessly believe something just because their parents believed it, they should learn to think for themselves.

You say you KNOW god is real despite the 100% lack of proof, but you deride the kids for being more discerning than you are capable of being. Perhaps you're just jealous of people who do not need to rely on the crutch that you are forced to walk around with.

I understand what you mean but you can't just blame the people who bash god because some of these people are just irratated with seeing Religious people try to cram thier beliefs down people's throats..I mean you have to realize that other religions have as much faith in what they believe in as you do about what you believe in. Thier gods are differnt then your god and it bothers people alot when you claim that your god is the only true way.....If you want to talk more bout this email me Rnwbman@yahoo.com

I don't understand what that old saying has to do with your question. Apparently those that are "bashing god" do stand for something - atheism, agnosticism, reason, skepticism, or whatever other philosophy they follow. How exactly do you know that God is real?

Honey,no offense to you but aren't you bashing other peoples' beliefs like atheists and agnostics. You have to back your argument/belief as to why you believe God exists.Have you ever seen him?Touched him, spoken to him face to face? Since I'm guessing your answer will be yes,ask him why he lets crap happen to the human race some of which are not deserved. ASk him how he can let kids starve and sit back and not do shi-t about it. Ask him how he can let women kill their babies all in the name of choice, have nothing happen to them while the "murderers" get thrown in jail and executed? Ask him how he allows something like September II and Katrina happen and kill thousands who are not the cause of these disasters. Ask him why Africa is been ravaged by its leaders, her children killed and he doesn't intervene? What happened to the God of the old testament who was swift to act and kill all who disobeyed him? If he could be that God I know,I won't mind. Starting with me,he may need to smite everyone so people can come to their senses. While you're at it,ask him to help the world. Ask him to stop the wars which seem to pop up every frigging year and has become norm. Ask him how he can sit by and watch small countries like Israel,Iraq,Somalia and etc be decimated by bigger countries all in the name of freedom and ethnic superiority. Ask him why he created people of different colors/races and have one think itself the lord of all the other races? Ask him why the racial inequality, the poverty...

I don't bash God. I'll like to believe he exists but looking at the state of things and Him being the all knowing, the all loving and all merciful,it is kind of hard to believe He exists especially with what happens in the world on a daily basis. IF YOU CAN CONVINCE me,maybe I'd fully believe.Right now I'm on the fence

FYI,from the time I could understand the workings of the Catholic church about when I was 10,I started my withdrawal from that fanatical belief of God especially my favorite :that he controls my destiny, success and failure which is a common excuse for some "christians" when they fail miserably at something.
Conclusion, people who bash God according to you have their reasons for doing so just like you have your reasons for believing in him. Don't "bash" our opinions and you can't help but wonder if the so called clergy really do believe when some of them use church money for themselves and some have taken to sleeping with boys and breaking their vows of celibacy. AND PLEASE DON'T GIMME GRIEF ABT HOW GOD NEEDS TO TEST PEOPLE'S FAITH WITH THE DISASTERS THAT HAPPEN COS THAT'S BULL AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT
