I am wanting to get on a list to get a german pinscher puppy. I know they arent that common yet. I am looking a year in advance. Anyone know of anyone who breeds this type of dog? Preferably in the northwest.

I hope you can find your puppy in a year! They are awesome dogs. I am "friends" with a few breeders that I see frequently at shows, but don't have contact info.

Look here: http://www.german-pinscher.com/breeders.htm
to find the breed clubs breeder list. Many breeders will direct you to other breeders if they will not be having puppies soon, or know someone has a puppy who would be a great fit for you.
