This is about a new burger a la Krispy Kreme doughnuts:

Cheeseburger doughnuts. The Gateway Grizzlies, an independent baseball league team in Sauget, Ill., started selling "Baseball's Best Burger" this month: a $4.50 cheeseburger with two strips of bacon grilled between a sliced Krispy Kreme doughnut. (The glazed sides are flipped to the inside for less mess.)

It comes to the plate with 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat, but the Grizzlies are selling 150 a game, says team spokesman Jeff O'Neill. "People ask us what to put on it," says O'Neill. "We like to think it doesn't need anything."

AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO THINKS THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS?! I think they should be sued for even putting something like this out there and selling it to people - why not just bottle up cancer, stroke and high blood pressure, diabetes and a heart attack and skip the darn doughnut!? Sell THAT for 4.50! This is irresponsible marketing.

Yeah, I do agree that people are responsible for their own diets - I don't eat fast food, either. I guess I consider the domino effect of it all - these people making MY health care costs soar, and that's just one part of it. To each his own, but I think it's disgusting.

I apologize in advance for what I'm going to tell you. But you and your beliefs are what's wrong with America. If Gateway wants to sell this piece of crap, let them. They're SELLING them, they are not giving them away for free. We are such a litaginous society already---there's no joie d vivre here in America. If some little pork wants to purchase a sandwich,.let them. Irresponsible marketing? You have the choice to buy it; you have the choice to pass on it and buy a hot dog instead. We are an obese society. It's not the marketers fault. People asked for it. This is like the idiot who bought a coffee, spilled it, and sued because it was too hot. Get over it....Live a little. Try it, you may like it. America should stop getting their panties in a bunch....

heavily, I actual have not had a donut in 8 years. i used to be a donut addict. I choose Dunk n' Donuts or a number of ther community ones because of the fact they are not so candy. yet Krispy Kremes are so stable and heat...The donut place I constantly went to is now I force via coffee place...once I end they had to end!

Well I mean Krispy Kream is not making them eat it. So many people have just let loose. If I am able to stay away from fast food then why cant they? It is not Krispy Kreams fault.

Why are you so worried about what other people are choosing to do?

If you think this sandwich is unhealthy, don't eat it. It's that simple.

Last time I checked, none of the rest of us asked you to be our mother.

Best wishes and God bless.

well, for every person that is outraged , there is one that will actually eat it. To each his own i say. Personally , the idea of a hamburger + donut doesn't appeal to me , yuck! But whatever...

So should we just eat grass? If people want it, let them enjoy it. When they hold you down and force you to eat one, then get upset, but why foister your ideas about food on others.
