you really can't prevent them. your body reacts in its own little ways.. i had 3 miscarriages. i am a flight attendant and no one has proven that flying for a living is dangerous to a developing fetus. my doctor thought that maybe it was because i couldn't carry female pregnancys. i have 3 boys now. we also know that 2 of the 3 miscarriages were girls. do you have a history of miscarriages?. have you had your tubes checked for a blockage? do you have enough progesterone in your system to carry your pregnancy? have some tests run to put your mind at ease. know that you are doing everything right.

My mother is a registered nurse and has been for 20 years and I asked her this same question after miscarrying 5 times. There is no surefire way to prevent miscarriage. Miscarriage usually occurs when there is a hormonal imbalance or the cells that create the embryo are irregular. In my case, after several miscarriages my doctor tested my level of progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone that helps get you pregnant and maintain a pregnancy. I was given oral progesterone prior to my conception of my daughter who I proudly tell you is now 4 years old and the most intelligent child I've ever seen. So, relax. Even though I know coping with a miscarriage is quite physically and mentally taxing, there is a reason.

There's no way to prevent miscarriages, you can do everything that the doctor ordered and if a miscarriage is going to happen it was just meant to be that way. That's why they are called Spontaneous Abortions.Although there are things that can contribute to miscarriages it just can't be prevented whether you are eating healthy going to all doctor appointments or if you are doing the wrong thing it's just an unfortunate thing.

Other than avoiding the things you already said you don't do, I don't know of a way. Miscarriage is your body's way of letting go of a baby that wouldn't have fared well in the outside world. Just hope and pray, and know that if it does happen, your body is sparing this soul a tortured life.

Sometimes they cannot be prevented, BUT you can reduce the risk by listening to your doctor and following their instructions. Avoid excessively stressful situations, no excessive bending or heavy lifting, no excessive excercising, avoid alchoholic beverages, eat healthy.

It's pretty much common sense.
Your first 2-3 months are the most crucial. That is the time where you are MOST likely to miscarry.
Good luck to you.

There isn't any absolute way to prevent miscarriage sometimes it just happens. It sounds like you are healthy just keep doing what you doing and don't stress.

Don't do any heavy lifting, don't stress, don't work out or run too much, don't fall down, don't fight or do any sport where u might get hit in the stomach. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, take your prenatal vitamins and you'll be fine. Oh and go to the doctor, and do your routine check ups.

then what is the concern? Your baby will be fine...just dont work too much, that is important. I have worked with 3..count them 3..woman who worked full time while pregnant and they had miscarriages. It's stress...you need to avoid stress. Talk to your doc.

Stay in bed and do not do anything for the first three months. Keep your foot up at all times.......just get up and use the bathroom.

Good Luck
