How do you tell a guy they had their chance?

How do I tell my best friend who's always been there for me and is like my brother that he had his chance and there might be a chance in the future, but I'm not sure?

Taking in your other post your BF needs to be dropped quick and told he can be your friend but not your BF now of ever. And talk to your friend and see if things would work out as BF GF and make a pack that if it don't work out then back to best friends....
