I actually realized that the world made some sense from a Christian point of view, why we have suffering and death (penalties for sin), why we exist (for the glory of God), and so on forth. It also caused me to clean up my act and not be so perverted and mean. It transformed me into a better person. I still stumble and sin, but looking back over my shoulder, I have seen that I am being slowly transformed into the likelihood of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, as all Christians are. I have found a true sense of peace, knowing that I am reconciled to my Creator now, for sin had been the barrier to my relationship with God.

The gift of salvation is a blessing, indeed.

Becoming a christian changed my whole outlook on life. I stopped smoking weed. I stopped drinking and partying.

Also and most importantly, all the bad things i had ever done, were forgiven and forgotten by a Holy God. Jesus came to live inside my heart and i became a new person.

I am now no longer headed to hell, and i will one day see Jesus in heaven.

Also i was given ALL the answers to lifes questions. It is amazing. I could never imagine going back to the uselessness and fear, of a life without God.

My hair became greasy, I developed nervous acne, I began to smell funny and become introverted, I felt shy taking my clothes off in the changing room and peeing at the urinal next to other guys..it was a bad experience all round and that's when I decided to leave Christianity.

What does being Christian have to do with changing your life?

You take on a new philosophy, faith based, and try to adhere to its morals and ideolgy. The change though, is your own commitment to be a better person and put others needs ahead of your own selfish desires. If you cannot commit yourself to a enlightened lifestyle without the "crutch" of calling yourself a Christian...then are you truely a Christian?

Well, I remember that I quit smoking and drinking, and I had the full measure of the Holy Spirit in me and around me continuously, and I started to write about Christ and produced quite a bit of Christian poetry and I used to distribute said poetry on the streets of Tacoma, Washington, and have poetry battles with some Atheist-guy at the open mike night at a coffee-house
there in Tacoma. I was stationed at Fort Lewis, and the three other "Jesus Freaks", which is what we called ouselves, because we had all come out of the countercultural movement, i.e. "smoked a lot of marijuana, etc." prior to being saved, anyway, the guys would go to this great Christian coffehouse in Tacoma, or to the Faith Temple in Tacoma, and it was just the best time of my life, we were so "on fire" for the Lord, we were having Bible studies, going to church, witnessing to non-believers, it seemed like 24-7 Then there was all the first-time stuff I experienced, like my first complete immersion baptism in the water of Tacoma Bay, my first speaking in tongues, my first foot-washing ceremony, the sweet little old lady from the Faith Temple who invited us into her home and fed us a great homecooked meal, and I got to taste candied beets for the first time. This was 1970, I was young, I was scared to death I might have to go to Vietnam, and I had the Lord, who looked out for me and sent me to another stage in Germany. And that high of being a new-born Christian and having the Holy Spirit followed me for at least six-months, before it slowly began to dissipate.
Thank you for the opportunity to share. ---sincerely UCSteve

well....christians..is just a term for how one believes.
and in your wish to have christianity 'fall'.....hummmm...

you are not having a very good relationship with your God, Jehovah. You have no order in your life. and you have confusion.
dont focus on a name, or a title.....catholic, christianity, mormon...
focus on the One, True, Supreme Creator of you....Jehovah father God.

Try this....
find a quiet place, anywhere. by yourself!!!
Talk to God. Tell Him what you feel. But understand, He is a just God. Talking trash about Him, or his people will bring destruction and ruin upon yourself. If you are miserable now.....
hummmm...

think about your life, then your death, then your judgement by Jah.
a lake of fire....wow. i dont want to go there.....no way, jose.
'each man appointed but one life, death, then the judgement.'..

so it will happen. to us all. great, small, rich, poor, famous, unknown....
are you ready to face God in a final judgement for all the things you have done or not done? Man! not me!!!
I got a ways to go!
:)

anywayz, talk to Him. go somewhere. let it out, respectfully.
tell Him about it, but ask Him to help you find answers, and a way that He wants you to go. He is God, and judge, but He can also be your friend. read the online bible link below. dont get caught up in a 'brand of religion'...just pray to Jah, then read it.

be open to his spirit, he will help bring you to a place where you will be happy, clean, fulfilled....saved.
when you look back at this day, you will really smile, and shine!
:)
Read Genesis, then John. gets some hope back in your life.
get some order back in your life.
get some hope, order, love....back in your life.
But get, God the Father, and his Son, Jesus back in your life!!!
i wish you the best in life.
:)

When I repented, was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost, EVERYTHING CHANGED.
I talked a new talk.
I walked a new walk.
Places I used to go, I did not go anymore.
Things I used to do, I did not do anymore.
The way I used to act, I did not act anymre.
It was wonderful. And it still is.
It gets hard at times, but it is still correct.

Uhm. Not any different really.
I just got baptised because I didn't want to be the only one not receiving holy communion.
Ahhh, the innocence of a child. ;D
