im gonna have to go with pasta, because pasta is everywhere. it just may have different names. such as in asia it is known as noodles, you get the point .... :-]

I'd say chocolate and rice are the most popular food because many people are now avoiding McDonalds due to the food being very unhealthy and making people around the world obese. McDonald's lost me as a customer when I watched the movie "Super Size Me" with Morgan Spurlock. McDonald's is disgusting and should be terminated.

I would say tea, but thats a beverage...

I agree with ascarta2 and PermDude. Rice is the most universal food of Planet Earth. Whether it is the most "popular" I can not say. Rice is in more cultures and eaten by more people than perhaps any other food.
