Some states already allow the DP for certain types of child molesters. Louisiana and South Carolina are the only two I can think of off the top of my head, but there are more.
Louisiana just sentenced a guy to death for it a couple of years ago. It's probably going to go to the Supreme Court, where it'll probably be struck down, but for now he's on death row.
Where he should be.

It doesn't matter if the parents or others are doing it. It's still wrong. Just the other day in the news paper- it stated that a 14 year old girl was prenant by her own FATHER! he only got 29 years in prison.!! I AGREE WITH THE DEATH PENALTY. Nasty people like that doesn't deserve to live.

I am in favor of death penalty for every prisoner, not just the molesters. We need to reduce the load on the prison system and the tax system and it's a good way to control the population what with the hispanics and hillbillies having more children than they can care for and dumping them on the welfare system?
If every one of the prisoners were killed,we'd have at least 10 million people dead who are not useful to society except to suck money out of it. BURN THEM ALL!!!

I have to say first.. KENYAI.. that is the stupidest answer I have ever heard. And dammit there are many many stupid answers on here. My priorities are right.. protecting my kid. Noone said a word about consensual sex with minors. They said child abusers, and molesters, and what if the parents are doing it? That is the reason these idiots exist.. people dont care.. of course until it happens to them.

I'm in favor, especially for molesters since less than 5 or 6% can be rehabilitated. Child abusers, they just need to be locked up and beat on a daily basis....

People who physically or mentally abuse children - mmmm, I guess it would depend on the severity of the abuse... beaten? broken bones? locked in a closet and tortured? Certainly the punishment should fit the crime.
On the other hand, those who sexually abuse children are nothing more than predators and should be eliminated. Generally speaking it isn't a matter of if a sex offender will re-offend, it is a matter of when.

I am...they have such a high incidence of recidivism and,. somehow, they always get out of prison to do it again. There are just too many soft-hearted judges who feel more pity for the abuser/molester than they do for the child that was a victim. We have to do more to protect the children from these predators.

Look if the Government has executed kids as young as 12 in this country, who is protecting who? There is big money in death penalty cases, that's why we have them, nothing more.

Death is not a penalty for that kind of crime. If you sell drugs is because of money, if you steal a car is because of money , ........ but child abuser is enjoying when he is doing that and steel they get smaller penalties than drug dealers , robbers , .... I think Jail for rest of his life not to see his family and friends never again !! But don't worry God is watching every thing!!!!

Absolutely. A child molester is not a functioning member of society. When you hurt society and cause mistrust amongst a demographic you should have to pay a price. One that is high enough to discourage future acts.
