My parents are natrualized citizens from Mexico. They ask when seeing their former country men here in the U.S. protesting, "Why are they mad at the U.S. Government for not making imegration easier? but they are not mad at the Mexican government for making leaving Mexico necessary?" They shout "si se puede" to the U.S. government while accepting generational corruption and incompetence from the Mexican government thinking nothing can be done about that or "no se puede"?

Great point, your parents are only two of a huge amount of legal immigrants who feel the same way. This sense of entitlement that these (Mexican) illegals show is just unbelievable. Your parents have every right to be outraged and so does every single legal immigrant in America as well as those who are in line now.

Do you watch the news. Vincente Fox is a snake and we all know the corruption in the Mexican government. Our government has been dealing with this problem for years. We're making immigration easier but in the mean time we have to strictly enforce our current laws. By the way you would have more credibility if you used spell checker and you'll also probably be removed for not using English (terms of agreement and community guidelines set by Yahoo and don't tell me you're foolish enough to post here without reading them.) I can't find anyone that knows Spanish to translate you're question.

Thank you fro that, I am latino, when other latinos think they can speak for me I feel like I need to hide from my fellow americans, these people that come here and demand rights only cause us (the america latino citizens) to all look like them and we all then get discriminated against.
I was passed up for promothion and then Eckerd the company I worked for as a Projects supervisor, let me go saying that they had to down size. Later i found out that they replaced me with a hour associate whom I trained, she was caucasion.
With my professional skills I still have not been able to find a decent paying job and I do feel the discrimination every day. I do not look it as the fault of the non latino americans but that of the supporters, government, and anoying latinos for Amnesty.

In all countries there are smart people and then there are the others.
The stupidity of the Day Without A Gringo march and the insane displays of rather racist bigotry by the participants (and their slogans) was testimony to a highly, misguided population of people. We can embrace/tolerate people of diff. races, colors and credes in this country but we cannot allow this rather anti USA demonstration of illegal people to continue. Send the ignorant, misguided illegals back to their own countries. Those kinds of people are what differentiate us from others in the world. Send the nay sayers home to elsewhere. Only a properly oriented US citizen would see the things your parents and you mention. It is that kind of immigration fabric we should invite and allow into our country. In deed, it is what has made America great for many decades.

I think you need to ask your parents that question. Didn't THEY leave their country? And every person born in Mexico is your parents' FELLOW countryman not former. Your parents will be Mexican no matter where they live. I'm glad your parents were able to come here and become citizens in no time.

America should be the home of the free. Current world events making it easy to get in would also make it easy for dissenters to get in.

IIRC, the Mexican government doesn't like it when people speak up against them, but I very easily could be wrong about this.

TO tell you the truth, everyone wishes the country of Mexico would improve and prosper to the point they can offer their citizens a good way to make a living and a decent place to live. most of all, its the government needs to improve its lack of compassion for its own people.

Great point. The heart of our illegal immigration issues on our southern border is due to the incompetent government of Mexico.

FINALLY!!
A sane question.
Thank you thank you.
I don't hate Mexicans.
In fact I felt rather kindly towards guys that were here illegally.
In fact I have taken the bosses truck and picked up workers from CASA LATINA here in Seattle.

http://www.casa-latina.org/
http://www.volunteersolutions.org/uwkc/org/219502.html

My boss paid them good money for day labor ...12 bucks per hour...provided lunch and gave them a full days work...And I drove them back downtown after day was done.
We treated them with respect.

And now we are racists.

MAy 1 demonstrations really soured me on illegals.

I used to feel more kindly towards them.

Your parents have an excellent point.

According to a Latino policy group study about a month ago, 79 pct. of Latino voters found illegal immigration to be a serious problem.
