The 10 commandments are a myth just like most of the parables in the bible.

They are human constructs designed by the early religious leaders to control the masses through fear-based living.

The law covenant between the national of Israel and God consisted of some 613 statutes and regulations, among then were The Ten Commandments or The Decalogue. Galatians 3:25, Colossians 2:13,14, and Ephesians 2:11-18 all show that Jews are no longer under the law covenant.

Some people say the law is divided into two parts: The Ten Commandments and the rest. Is this so? A consideration of Matthew 5:21-42 shows that Jesus quoted from all parts of the law and made absolutely no distinction between them. At Romans 7:6-7, the apostle Paul plainly says Jews have been discharged from the law. Right away, look at the example he uses: you must not covet – which is the tenth commandment. Clearly, there is no demarcation between the Ten Commandments and the rest of the law.

This does not mean that Christians are not under laws which they must observe. But the law covenant is not in force – it was taken out of the way at the death of Christ. How happy we can be since failure to keep the Sabbath, one of the commandments, was punishable by death.

But didn’t Christ say woe to the one who taught people not to obey even the smallest particle of the law? Yes, he did. The law covenant did not become ineffective until the death of Christ. As he was still alive when he said this, the law covenant was still in force and all Jews were obliged to keep it.

many people have been deceived into believing this. What was done away with were the works of the Laws, all the sacrificing, the offerings for atonement and sins and cleansing of diseases etc. If you truly study the New Testament out, you will see time and time again the laws were still in enforcement. Even Paul said We establish the law. What was done away with as far as the laws go, were the debts demanded by the laws for payment of sins against the laws, Jesus paid the Price and we no longer are under the debts of the law, the ceremonial part of the law.

What many people don't realize is that there are 2 laws in the old testament the 10 commandments and the mosaic laws. the mosaic laws include sacrificing animals and ceremonial laws. the 10 commandments are moral laws which represent the character of God.

The 10 commandments are still applicable including keeping the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) but the mosaic laws are finished.

What you call the "old testament" is really the Torah, The Five Books of Moses, given to the Israelites at Mt. Sinai. The laws herein were given only to the Jewish people. The Ten Commandments have become 'laws' which civilized society has taken on. However, the only laws which non-Jews are required to uphold are the Seven Laws of Noah.

The previous testomony rules nonetheless shop on with different than those the place clergymen have been the only ones who ought to come to God to wish and those approximately sacrificing animals for sin. The salvation in the process the sacrifice of God's son, Jesus Christ, made those practices pointless.

All the laws of the Old Testament are under the old mossaic law under the old covenant and that was the law of the Israelites handed down by God Himself.

By the way the law was given so that they would understand that they could not live up to those standards and be driven to grace through Christ.

19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Rom. 3:19-20

Christians are under the new covenant under grace.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Rom. 6:14

we are still called to live by God's moral standards, which include, but are not limited to the Ten Commandments( with the exception of observe the sabbath, which I can explain if you would like), but we are not called to live according to the mossaic law.
All the mossaic laws, except the ten, are either civil, dietary, or ritual law

I don't know how they are not applicable.

Eph 2. 13:14 clearly says, the Old Laws and New Laws are "combined.

Christian are not condemned by the Old Laws.
