I get a yeast infection on a monthly bases when I have sex with my boyfriend. I have been tested for STD and had lab work done. All of my tests came back normal or negative. When I do not have sex I do not get a yeast infection. It seems that I do not get a yeast infection two weeks prior to getting my period. Maybe it has something to do with my PH levels?
What should I do?

THE ONLY ANSWER I CAN GIVE 2 YOU IS TO SEE A GYN.

AND DID YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU HAD SEX WITH YOUR B.F. WHILE YOU HAD IT YOU CAN GIVE IT TO HIM.

MEN CAN GET YEAST INFECTIONS FROM WOMAN(WHO R INFECTED) SO HE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT AS WELL.

SO THE ANSWER IS THE REASON 4 YOUR REACURRING Y.I. IS YOUR B.F.
NOTICE HOW WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE SEX WITH HIM IT DOESN'T SHOW UP.

HE MAY HAVE THE Y.I. FROM YOU AND HE KEEPS PASSING IT BACK.

BUT STILL GO TO THE DR. AGAIN.
GET A 2ND,3RD,4TH,5TH, & 6TH OPINION!!!
SOMETIMES DR. CAN MIS-DIAGNOSE.

Hello I am 38 years old woman and I will tell you what I think on my own experieances . For one thing you need to treat yourself now by going into any pharmacy and buying a cream dipositury called monistat it works great and if you still have it after you finished the box buy 1 more and do it again it will help with the cramping pain and also cure you of the yeast infection , if it doesnt work that means you have something else and need to seek a gynocologists advice, and medicine. Now the other thing that I want to tell you is that I have personally been through the same type of situation as you and all signs are there its your boyfriend that is making you sick and I will bet on it that there are other woman that he might be sexually active with and you not know usaually thats the case with what happened with me 3 different times with 3 different boyfriends I found out that way they were cheating and I would turn up sick when I was with them so dont jump then gun or acuse him just invetigate it first sometimes a man will go with other people and then come back to you and make you sick but they will say they dont feel sick when you tell them to go to a doctor , again dont acuse him I am just giving you my best advice it was always for me the first red flag warning ,there also could be medical reasons why you get alot of yeast infections sometime Diabetes can cause it or not useing the proper cleansing methods after intercorse.

I used to get them from the spermicide in condoms, something called non-oyxinol 9. I know I anything with spermicide.

I also read all the information that came inside the monistat medication that you can buy over the counter to treat it. That information also says there is something wrong when you keep getting constant yeast infections. So even though your test for STDs are coming up negative, you need to let your doctor know that you get a yeast infection every month. Only your doctor can tell you why you are prone to them and what to do to solve the problem.

first of all I would have my boyfriend checked for a yeast infection as well, then there are other reasons for gettin yeast infections. Diabettes melitus that is poorly controlled can cause yeast infections. all a yeast infection is is fungi laying dormant

Have your sex partner checked for the yeast infection.
Yes, guys can get 'em too and keep passing them right back and forth again like a ping-pong game. It's just not as prominent when a guy has it.

It might not be a yeast infection but instead just your body clearing out the bacteria that gets in there from sex. Bacteria is on our hands, genitals, and even saliva.... What goes up, must come down!

both you and you re partner should be treated. Basics don't eat sugar it will make it worst get a good probiotic supplement with asidofilus bifidus etc ,Grapefruit seed extract liquid or tablets is use orally 10 to 15 drops tree times per day or one tablet tree times per day with food when the yeast clears reduce the grapefruit seed extract to once per day and continue the probiotics for as long as you can and it mite not come back

LOL! Actually, the last few times i've had one, it is the same thing--and I have checked, and yes, it is due to hormonal changes in your body right before you start your period. If it does persist, however, it could be a sign of pregnancy, or something serious effecting your immunity--so do get it checked out (and I see you already have, and I must applaud you for doing so already.). Any persisting condition is a sign of a persisting problem. :)
