about the genocide in Darfur?

And what would he want YOU to do (in addition to prayer) in his name?

Forgive me, I'm not a Christian but I'm going to contribute anyway.

The cool thing about Jesus (to me) is not that he was supposedly God's son, holy, etc... If Jesus were alive today, he would be an activist. Think about it. Jesus helped people by physically helping them, not by praying to Daddy.

Jesus would get involved. He would want anyone who is able to donate time and money. I don't know much about the Darfur situation, but I imagine there are groups and charities devoted to helping. Visit their websites and see how you logically contribute. If you can't join the Peace Corps and travel overseas, that's fine. Maybe they need food donations. Medical donations. Making sure that your friends are aware like you are.

It's hard to predict exactly what Jesus would expect of Christians. If you believe that the Bible is true as I do, an examination of the Scripture doesn't necessarily reveal Jesus' specific will for a situatino like Darfur.

Jesus' focus on the personal salvation of the individual and the personal relatinshop. In fact, evangelism would be Jesus' top priority for all believers. Salvation is open to all and much more important than our current circumstances.

What might seem like the "right thing to do" in human eyes isn't necessarily right in God's eyes. God judges our hearts, not our deeds except to the extent that our deeds are a reflection of what is in our hearts.

Anyone who would answer what a person in the distant pass would do, is shooting in the dark. No answer, one way or the other, can be proven or disproven. That goes for Jesus, Allah, WHVH, or Happy Hulligan.
