We cannot deny there are inherent and Psychological differences between men and women however if the military was smart they would have a special forces for men and women focusing on their strengths. I think there is a place for Women in special forces however I don't' think it would be the same as how men are in special forces. Women have special intuition and they are able to seduce a man this can come in handy if the enemy's weakness is women also spying and observation work Which looks more like the spy the Physically fit marine man or the woman with four kids humm.... I think that would be interesting plus women can hide behind burkas they are smaller framed and this somehow can be an advantage as well. Men have advantages too with their strength and ability to endure certain things and their ability to focus on one objective and Women can do multiple things well. Use these strengths to further the goal and enhance special forces. Frankly I'd rather had a female soldier that wants to be there than a male who really doesn't.

I believe women can do the job that men can but if you think about this that if a man dies in a war zone the media will put it down as a # on the list of soldiers who die but if a woman dies then they go all out attempting to find out why this woman died and with special forces there missions can be very sensitive and do not need to see public eyes ever. This would make it much harder to get the mission done. Do not get me wrong I believe that women can do anything men can do.

Let me put this into perspective...I was blown out of a Humvee in Iraq.(which I really was) Afterwards, I am not able get myself out the kill zone of the ambush because 1. I'm wounded and 2. Hajji's got me pinned there anyways because he knows my buddies are comin for me. Now, I need to be medavacked immediately(medical attention), and the only person that is able to help me is a female soldier with an extra 40-50lb of equipment on, to come brave the fire and quickly take me to the only available cover for 70 to 80 meters...under fire. Let's say this soldier is an average build at about 5'5 and 130lb....plus the wieght of the equipment, then my height 5'11 and weight at 195lbs...plus my 40-50 lbs of equipment. now she has to come and pick me up, which the total weight to be carried would be almost 300lbs, and then procede to carry me for the 70 to 80 Meters or more depending on the circumstances, to cover . Now I'm not saying that it can't be done....but don't you think that it would be kind of a bad time to find out.

The fact is that the testosterone that men produce allows for us to have much greater upper body strength, and it allows for our muscles to recover much faster after being used. This also helps to have a more efficient cardio vascular system. There is a reason that the Army has a seperate scoring system for women on it's physical fitness test. Not discrimination, but scientific fact that physically, it is much harder for a women to perform at a mans level then the other way around.

Call me what you want...but the battlefield is the wrong place for political correctness to find itself. I have no problems with women in all facets of life...except that one. When lives are at stake, I don't want to have to find out the hard way that a person "thinks" they can do it, when in reality they cannot do what they thought what they thought. It's not impossible, just very unlikely.

I don't think most women could handle the mental stress of being a combatant. Just think about it, if she's on the front lines and another woman or man gets shot and dies right next to her or even gets blown up by a grenade will the woman be able to handle that and keep on fighting effectively? I don't think so, some are physically fit enough to handle the front lines though.

I believe that women should be able to be in combat MOS's. I am a Special Operations soldier myself (37f Psychological Operations) I would see no problem with it and as a matter of opinion of most other soldiers,ones i have talked to anyway, they see no problem with it either. The ones with a problem are the people in Washington DC that dont want to deal with it. For it to be a much more realistic thing to happen, it would be a LOT easier to have an all female S.F. unit than to try and integrate females into existing all male units. You will be happy to know that there are two Special Operations jobs in the Army that females can enlist into: 37f, psychological operations, and 38a, civil affairs.

I am in the military and dont think for one minute that I as a man, am better than some of my female comrades that I serve with, but there are some big physical differences between the two sex's and thats the reason the SF discriminates between men and woman, however I say if theres enough woman who feel strongly enough that can form a team together and give service in that arena then i say, go for it!

I'm all for womens rights, and I can't stress that enough.

There is no way a woman can be in the special forces. It's just physical impossible. It has nothing to do with the mental aspect, just the physical demands are to great.

I do believe women should fight of the front lines. Just not in the special forces.

It's not about better or worse. The fact is that men and women are different. Both groups have strengths and weaknesses. To exclude either group robs any group of the full range of skills and assets that comes with a man or a woman. Better to have both and more bases are covered.

No, women are not as good as men, they are better.

But a bit of advice, if you want people to see you as an equal at least. Try to make yourself appear intelligent and well educated. Your grammar and spelling are awful.

A person who wants to be special forces is exceptionally intelligent and highly motivated, you appear angry and outraged. If they change their minds to allow women to go SF, you would not make it based on the above.
