Also, I saw a recomendation to never boil frozen crawfish.

Just defrost the guys for a minute...it wont change them at all and your recipie will be fine. Just make sure you set your microwave to DEFRAUST otherwise they will start to cook. Doing this will return them to room temp and have no effect on their taste. You'll be good to go.

The frozen craw-fish are cooked already- cook you up a ettouffe with them instead- just put on rice and that's all there is!!!!By the way you are the only person that I ever heard of to do a craw-fish boil with frozen- more power to ya......

Omg I'm also from Louisiana. What part are you from? I'm from Baton Rouge. I can understand other parts of the U.S. not eating crawfish b/c they are probably like used to them, but we grew up on them. Like you mention they don't know what they are missing. They're the best!!

I would think that it would be ok if you thawed them in cold water in the sink before you cook them. Also make sure that they aren't frozen already cooked or you may end up with them overdone.

From my experience they come out tuff
